Both the door panel and frame surfaces must be flat, providing enough space for mounting the alarm (2.6 1.9 in) and sensing strip (0.6 1.8 in) particularly on the strike-side door jamb (the vertical frame on the same side as the lock/handle), which must be free of uneven decorative strips, raised patterns, or textures to ensure proper adhesion of the sensing strip. The strip can be installed on either the left or right side of the alarm. Gap between alarm and strip < 0.78 inch (2 cm).
